I grew up in the southern part of the Philippines, in an archipelago famous for its sunny climate, lovely beaches and exotic fruits including the distinctive and unique-smelling Durian!
While spending an idyllic childhood in nature’s playground climbing trees, toying with insects and drowning my self in a wide array of fiction books, the seed of adventure was planted in my heart along with the urge to express myself in writing! From then on I mainly wrote my thoughts, opinions and poetry for my own satisfaction and never thought that one day I would start writing professionally.
Later, as an adult, I forged ahead exploring the urban jungles of Metro Manila. I had the opportunity to graduate with degrees in business management and psychology in one of the local private universities. I also had the chance to work and set up a fairly successful business in the garment retail industry for ten years.
After wielding through the competitive world of business I decided to test the waters and see if anything I wrote would be worth publishing. When my first article was published in one of the local lifestyle magazines, I decided to become a part time writer. Since I am blessed to have traveled to some parts of the world; writing about people, places and food has become some of my favorite topics!
